In prior years, Halloween was always celebrated at a friend’s house. We would spend countless hours coming up with last minute costumes. Beer pong was played, drinks were had, and dancing to Eminem in the basement ensued. Cheetos, pretzels, candy corn, ice cream, cupcakes, and pizza were strewn throughout the small kitchen counter, and the place was packed with friends, strangers, and people we may have met the year before (but we were never sure). All in all, we always had a good time.
This year, with our friend in California (so no party) and with all of us getting older and lamer (but wiser?… probably not), we decided to keep things low key for Halloween. The night entailed a quick stop to check out Beacon Hill in all of its Halloween glory and a night with food, drinks, and friends at Gather, a relatively new waterfront restaurant. The place was pricey for what you get, but the ambiance was spot on, with its cool light installation and large glass windows with a view of the water. Despite the lack of beer pong and Cheez-Its, it was pretty awesome being able to just catch up on life…

Hope everyone had a fun Halloween!
We need to do this more often! ❤
