While my friends are rockin’ out at the Austin City Limits (ACL) Festival this weekend, I can only look back at photos from my visit to Austin a few months ago… Sadly, P and I had to give up our festival tickets when both of us thought we had work obligations, which were consequently rescheduled or cancelled… Can you say bummer?!
In May, P and I headed down south to gorgeous Austin, Texas for my best friend, Rachel’s wedding. (Check out her bachelorette party celebrations in New Orleans here) Austin was amazing! Now a modern, hip and newly dubbed “Silicon Hills,” this city had great food, great people, and great music!
When in Austin, gotta have some BBQ! Stopped by Lambert’s for our first taste of Austin! Of course, it was delicious!
Rachel’s wedding was at the gorgeous Blanton Museum, a beautiful space devoted to modern and contemporary artwork. It was totally fitting considering Rachel loved art history. As a bridesmaid, I was able to explore the museum before the guests arrived, and because everything for the wedding was going right on schedule, me and some other bridesmaids did a mini photo shoot among the European oil paintings and Warhol prints… because why not?
What to do when waiting for the wedding festivities to begin? Mini photoshoot!
Then the dancing and craziness begins!
The day after, before heading back home, we stopped by the Austin street fair and stuffed our faces with all things Texas… Needless to say, we slept well on the way back to California…
What a beautiful wedding between two amazing people! So honored to be able to celebrate with her and be a part of her special day. Also, loved exploring Austin! We’ll definitely be back for more!
Ten years and counting with this girl…!
