Family reunions on P’s side are rare. His parents are in Arizona. One brother’s family is in Colorado, and the other brother’s family is in France (yes… the country). So, you can see how it’s not often that everyone can get together at the same time.
Since P’s French brother and his girlfriend were visiting the U.S. with their new baby girl, Mia, for two weeks, we decided to all meet up in Moab, Utah for the long weekend for some bonding time, family festivities, and gorgeous views.
Despite the unusually cold temperatures, we were still able to visit the Arches National Park to hike and take in the famous arches. The snow capped mountains in the distance served as the perfect backdrop for all the different red rock structures, and everything was just so pretty in the snow.
Best of all, we got to catch up with all of our loved ones and meet the newest little member of the family.
Arches National Park
The Windows Arches
A short hike to see both the North and South Window arches. Fun for climbing and incredible views.
Delicate Arch
My favorite of all the arches and worth the 3 mile roundtrip hike. This arch is situated in a spectacular spot with 360 degree views of the park.
Landscape Arch
In Devil’s Garden and only a short half mile hike. In the 1990’s, huge chunks of the arch crumbled off, leaving the arch thinner and more fragile than ever. Hopefully, this beauty will be with us for many years to come because it’s pretty spectacular!
Balanced Rock
Panorama Point
When we weren’t exploring the arches, we were spending time catching up as a family. Pretty lucky that we were able to make this reunion happen!
‘Til next time, Moab!
